Southeast Hypnosis Training Institute is pleased to offer the following options for people wishing to learn hypnosis skills and techniques.
Whether learning these skills is for your own personal use and enjoyment, or you wish to become a professional hypnotist, you are welcome to explore the following levels of training:
TRACK 1: PERSONAL USE
Students practice and are tested on hypnosis techniques. During this subject students will gain the competency and a secure attitude necessary when hypnotizing themselves. This class lays the groundwork for more complicated hypnotism techniques offered in the remainder of the program. Upon completion of this level, students will be able to discuss the history of hypnosis and the professional code of conduct. They will know how to use various hypnosis techniques and procedures, and will be able to describe law and liability issues and dangers in the field. Students will learn how to use voice control to maximize hypnosis techniques. They will be able to describe the structure of hypnotic suggestion, the effects of suggestion, and auto suggestion. They will demonstrate Elman-Style Induction Methods and Progressive Relaxation Induction Techniques, Effective Trance Removal techniques, Trance Deepening Techniques. These skills can be used to produce generalized relaxation in their personal and professional lives, and can be helpful in relationship improvement. Emphasis on focus and concentration will assist in goal setting and anxiety reduction. (Lec 10 Cl Hrs / Lab 90 Cl Hrs / Total 100 Cl Hrs) [Prerequisite: None]
TRACK 2: PERSONAL USE for Professionals
In this subject students will be learn how to use more advanced hypnosis techniques to maximize effectiveness and ensure positive results.
Upon completion of this subject students will be able to properly plan and structure specific hypnosis sessions. They will demonstrate techniques and strategies specifically used in pain and stress management. They will learn to apply the placebo principle and how to recognize medical and mental health issues that are contra-indicated. Students will be able to compare and contrast hypnosis and spirituality and be able to describe the process of backtracking to restore rapport. In addition, they will demonstrate linguistic structure for maximum results and complex suggestion techniques. Successful completion of Level 2 allows the student to sit for the advanced hypnotism practitioner examination. TRACK 3: Four-Level PROFESSIONAL HYPNOTIST TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION Course:
Program Description:
This course of instruction prepares the student for an entry-level job as a professional hypnotist. Graduates may find employment using complementary hypnosis to aid and assist counselors, social workers, or medical/dental professionals. Additionally, graduates may choose to pursue a career as an independent hypnotist. Students will learn how to determine whether an individual is a suitable client for hypnosis. They will learn to use various methods and techniques of modern hypnosis and when it is appropriate to use each method and/or technique. Upon completion of this program graduates will be prepared to assist clients with smoking cessation, weight management, pain management, stress management, memory improvement, etc. through hypnosis in accordance with ethical standards of the profession. Additionally, they will learn how to develop a marketing plan and institute a business plan for establishment of their own hypnosis center.
Level 3: Hypnosis Center Business Structure prepares students to enter into private practice as a Professional Hypnotist by providing the skills necessary to plan, launch, and run a valued business in the field of hypnotism. Public relations, business structure, paid marketing, and regulatory considerations are at the forefront of this subject.
Upon completion of this subject, students will be able to recall elements of a successful hypnosis practice and describe the advantages and disadvantages of offering a service guarantee. They will learn how to successfully market their business and services and how to select an appropriate business location. In addition, students will learn how to determine appropriate fees for the services they provide and how to arrange the floor plan of their office for maximum operational effectiveness. TRACK 4: ADVANCED GROUP HYPNOTISM APPLICATIONS
Level 4: Advanced Group Hypnotism Applications is an integration of stage hypnosis, corporate speaking, information product development, and group communication skills. This level trains the student in skills that allow multiple income streams for the individual hypnotism professional and how to fill the scheduling gaps in other aspects of hypnosis center operation.
Students completing the subject will be prepared to perform stage hypnosis, instantaneous hypnosis, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). They will be able to articulate how corporate training and public speaking can augment their hypnosis practice. They will be able to describe different marketing methods and the advantages/disadvantages of each. In addition, they will be able to describe the advantages of manuscript self-publishing and its effects on business.
