Julie's Background
Before receiving her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology in 1996, Julie worked for 20 years in sales and management for high-tech medical device corporations. She has also worked in emergency medicine as an EMT and knows first hand the value that can be brought to our lives when we lose weight, stop smoking, and learn how to manage stress.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, she has special training in Dr. Phil's methods and approach, and she has seen clients referred from the show for the past four years. She was invited to appear on the Dr. Phil Show several times with the clients she was given for follow up. Julie has had a successful private practice since 2004 and currently provides hypnosis and coaching services to people from all over the country in weight loss, smoking cessation, personal confidence improvement and relationship counseling.
She has been actively involved in the Border Collie Rescue organization as a foster home since shortly after adopting her first Border Collie, Jake.

Lucy Stacy:
Lucy was born in Santa Barbara, California and grew up there until her family moved to the midwest at the beginning of her high school years. She met her husband there, and both their son and daughter were born there. They spent four years in Florida, then moved to Texas in 1989, and have been here ever since. They've lived in Friendswood for the last 12 years, with the children now grown but have two dogs named Jade and Bear and a cat named Xena. Lucy is now a happy entrepeneur of a budding business selling homemade salsa, preserves and jalepenos at the different Farmers Markets around the city as well as doing catered events and special orders. Lucy is the newest addition to the Center and happy to be here!
Jakedog & Miss Blaze

“Blaze & I are the Official Greeting Committee and we have two very important jobs here at Southeast Hypnosis. First, when people come in, we get to go up and say hi right away - to make you feel at home. Then I get to go get my squeaky toy so we can play. I especially like people who like playing fetch as much as I do. You can pet us or play with us, or we'll just sit with you a while.... we have lots of love to give if you just need a friend with fur.”
We proudly support the people and organizations who help, rescue and re-home the millions of animals in need in our area.
Remember to spay and neuter your pets. There are many more puppies and kitties than homes to take them.
Make sure all your animals have microchips, tags or collars for identification so we know who to call when we find them!

Jake, spray painted red and beaten, was hours away from being put down in a Sulphur, Louisiana shelter, when a volunteer from a rescue organization came in, and saved him.
Just before Blaze, with ribs showing, covered with fleas and suffering with a worm infestation, was going to be shot dead by her male owner for chewing something, the female owner took her to a shelter where she was given 7 more days to live. Both of them were taken in by BCRT.

BCRT is a volunteer non-profit organization which accepts Border Collies from owners, shelters, and other rescuers. Some rescues are pedigreed, some look and act purebred but have no verification, a few are known BC mixes. Rescues are 1 to 3 years old, on average, but we do receive puppies and seniors on occasion. All BCRT listed dogs are spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm free and on preventive.
BCRT matches families with Border Collies of compatible temperament and abilities. Fosters whenever possible try to evaluate all Border Collies with cats, other dogs, children, herding, agility, obedience, etc. A rescue dog will bond with a new family. Dogs seem to know when they've been 'saved' and have a desire to work with the new people in their lives.
Our Mission:
- To provide proper emotional and physical care to Border Collies whenever possible.
- To spay or neuter all rescued dogs unless precluded from doing so for health reasons.
- To educate the public in regards to the nature, needs and natural tendencies of a Border Collie.
- To place rescued Border Collies in appropriate homes after proper screening.
- To euthanize those dogs that are unable to function properly within society due to health or mental reasons.
- To actively raise funds to meet Border Collie needs.
- To respectfully come to the aid of other Rescuers whenever possible.
- To teach and support those individuals that have adopted Border Collies.
