How Does Hypnosis Work?

Our minds work on two levels: the conscious and the unconscious. We make decisions, think, and act with our conscious mind. The unconscious mind controls our habits and imagination. In the physically and mentally relaxed state known as hypnosis, we can work directly with the unconscious mind. This is why it is so quick and easy to change habits or emotions of a lifetime with hypnosis.

Can You Hypnotize Me?

Generally speaking, every normal person is "hypnotizable" T- as long as they want to be, because at it’s essence, hypnosis is just being physically and mentally relaxed, and paying attention to the verbal suggestions given to you. Pretty simple, really!

Technically, anyone with an IQ of at least 70, and no severe mental disorders could be a good candidate. Therefore, virtually anyone can achieve successful results using hypnosis. But of course, neither the hypnotist nor hypnosis can “make” somebody do anything against their will.

How Will I Know When You Hypnotize Me?

Most people can't tell the difference between being hypnotized and just being relaxed in the waking state. Some people simply feel deeply relaxed or calm, others feel a lightness. So don’t expect to feel “weird”! One thing that people do notice is an inexplicable change in their daily behaviors. Hypnosis is a normal state of focused attention where emotions or behaviors can be affected or influenced through suggestion and repetition.

Is Hypnosis Safe?

Hypnosis is completely safe. When we hypnotize you, you are aware and in control at every moment and can terminate the session at any time. Hypnosis is not sleep, nor can you get "stuck" in a state of hypnosis. You definitely can't be made to do something against your will! Hypnosis is a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. If you give it some thought, you may remember that when you smoked your first cigarette, you coughed. You might have even choked on the smoke.
